1 St. Anne’s, Ursuline Court

1 St. Anne’s is the third house of the Waterford cluster and was opened on the 30th August 1994. The house is a detached dormer bungalow built on land originally owned by the Waterford community. The purchase of the house was for practical reasons rather than ministry related. At the 1986 Chapter it was decided “to discern and initiate rationalisation at local level”. The Waterford Sisters began this difficult and painful task with courage and enthusiasm. As the process took shape it was felt that buying a house in the local area would lessen the number of rooms needed in the new convent and so 1 St. Anne’s was bought.
