Shannonbridge Companions – day of reflection
On 25th July the Ursuline Companions of our Shannonbridge community went to Mount Saint Joseph’s Cistercian Abbey in Roscrea for a day of prayer and reflection. Arriving at 10:30am they began with a welcome cup of coffee followed by input from Dom Richard Purcell, Abbott of Roscrea. The theme he took was the Rule of Saint Benedict – who said it could be apply to all, not just monks. It is based on three themes… to seek God…to persevere…to offer a spirit of hospitality. The Companions joined the community for midday prayer followed by lunch and a walk in the grounds. An inspirational day!
