Sr Karen attends Vocation Directors conference

Over the last 3 days Sr Karen Kent of our Blackrock community has attended the National Vocation Directors Conference in Maynooth College – the first time the Diocesan Vocation Directors and the Religious Congregation Vocation Directors have come together to reflect upon the theme: creating a culture of vocations in Ireland.  The input was given by Archbishop Jorge Carlos Patron Wong, a Mexican Archbishop who works in the Roman Curia as secretary for Seminaries of the Congregation for the Clergy.  His emphasis was very much on creating the space for young people to hear the call of God and how we accompany them on their journey towards responding to the call.  He called on us to work  together more in this work of the Lord that Diocese and religious congregations have much to learn from one another and much to share together.
