The Ursuline mission is primarily to take time to realise God’s love for us, to offer our love in return and to share our experience of God’s love with all we meet.

In Ireland, educational needs provided the primary channel for this mission. Communities established schools at first and second levels and one third level college. More recently, in accord with Angela’s advice to adapt “ as the passage of time and other circumstances” suggest, we mediate God’s care for the world through additional ministries: health care, prayer and retreat work; spiritual direction; counselling; working with marginalized peoples e.g. the travelling community and homeless; family and parish ministries and social services.

Discerning new ministries involves a valuing of individual talents allied to a careful reading of the signs of the times. The constant mission of all our ministries, traditional and new, is to share God’s love with others.
