St. Ursula’s Sandyford

September 24, 1989, feast of Our Lady of Mercy, saw the official opening of a new house in Sandyford, Co. Dublin. The Ursulines went there principally to answer a call to do pastoral work with people in a new housing estate in Ballyogan and in Sandyford parish. Srs. Vincent Burke, Carmel Duggan and Phyllis Hannick (all now deceased) were the first to minister there.

Over the years the membership of the community has changed and their work in Sandyford parish now includes that of prayer, pastoral and social ministries.
