Sculpture of Saint Angela with child. These figures of Angela Merici and the child is a work done by Mary Flynn in terra cotta with a finish that looks like wood. The child is modelled on her own niece and the significant thing about this statue is that the child can be turned in several ways without touching the figure of Angela.

The hand of Angela Merici si always behind the child but never touches her signifying guidance not control  –  the philosophy of Angela Merici.
