Statement on the Occasion of the Launch of the Safeguarding Review of Sisters of the Irish Ursuline Union by the National Board
The Sisters of the Irish Ursuline Union invited the National Board for Safeguarding Children in the Catholic Church in Ireland (NBSCCCI) to conduct a review of safeguarding practice in the Congregation . The Board carried out the review on the 22nd of June, 2015 and today we the Ursuline Sisters publish the report on our website.
The Ursuline Sisters welcome the report and fully accept its contents. We thank the auditor for his courteous and attentive engagement with us. Gratitude is also expressed to the National Board and Office staff for their work on our behalf.
We can assure people that through our policies and procedures currently in place , we will continue to endeavor to protect all children with whom we come in contact.
